Presented at Canal Dream Art Festival 2024 in London, The Vermilion Bird is a live body performance inspired by the symbolic presence of the vermilion bird as an image of transformation, heat and spiritual force. Through movement and bodily gesture, the work explores the body as a vessel of vulnerability, intensity and ritual imagination. Shown within a public festival setting, the performance extends my ongoing practice of using live presence to connect mythic imagery, emotional states and spatial encounter.
